Privacy Policy
Plain words about what this website collects, what it never does, and the choices that are yours.
Effective July 28, 2026 · Movement Psychotherapy Services, LLC · Albuquerque & Roswell, New Mexico
The short version
- We set no analytics or advertising cookies unless you say yes. Analytics is off until you opt in, and you can change your mind any time via . The one exception is the embedded Google map on our home and contact pages, which Google loads with the page — see below.
- We never sell or share your personal information for advertising. There are no ad pixels on this site.
- Our contact forms ask you not to include medical or mental-health details. They are for introductions and appointment requests only.
- Your care records are not part of this website. If you become a client, your health information is protected under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at intake.
Who we are
Movement Psychotherapy Services, LLC operates movementpsych.co. You can reach us at hello@movementpsych.co, at 505.702.9080, or at 9201 Montgomery Blvd NE, Bldg 7, Ste A, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
What we collect, and why
What you send us. When you use our contact or careers forms, we receive what you enter: your name, how to reach you (email or phone), and the topics you select. We use it for one purpose — responding to you and helping you get started. Form submissions travel encrypted (TLS) and are delivered to us through a HIPAA-compliant email service that operates under a Business Associate Agreement.
What our server records. Like nearly every website, our web server keeps standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — used only for security and keeping the site running. Logs rotate and are not joined to anything you submit in a form.
What we deliberately avoid. The forms tell you not to include personal medical or mental-health information, and the automatic reply you receive does not echo back anything you wrote. We designed it that way on purpose.
Cookies & analytics — your choice
Apart from the embedded map described below, this site stores exactly one thing on your device by default: your cookie choice itself, kept in your browser’s local storage. Nothing else is set until you allow it.
Embedded maps. Our home and contact pages show a Google Map of each office. Google loads that map with the page and may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, under Google’s privacy policy. We chose to show the map directly so the offices are easy to find; if you would rather not load it, blocking third-party content for this site prevents it without affecting anything else on the page.
If you opt in, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help people find us — page views, approximate region, and how visitors arrive. We configure it with advertising features disabled: no Google Signals, no ads personalization, and consent for ad storage permanently denied. Analytics is never connected to anything you submit in a form.
| Name | Kind | Set when | Purpose & lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| mp-consent | Local storage (first-party) | You make a cookie choice | Remembers your choice so we don’t ask again. Stays until you clear it. |
| _ga, _ga_* | Cookies (Google Analytics) | Only after you opt in | Distinguishes visitors for aggregate statistics. Expires after up to 14 months. Removed if you withdraw consent. |
| Google Maps cookies | Cookies (Google) | With the page, on Home and Contact | Set by the embedded office map. Governed by Google’s privacy policy, not ours. |
Change your mind any time: . If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a “no” automatically and won’t even show you the banner.
What we never do
- We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold it in the preceding 12 months.
- We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not run advertising pixels or social-media trackers on this site.
- We do not use your information for any purpose incompatible with the ones described here.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we have about you, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of — but the rest applies in full.
To exercise any right, email hello@movementpsych.co with “Privacy request” in the subject, or call 505.702.9080. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent; we will verify the request either way. We extend these same courtesies to residents of every state.
Note: requests about clinical records follow HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices rather than this policy — contact us and we will route your request properly.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep things
Form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond and coordinate care, after which they are deleted. Server logs rotate on a short schedule. Analytics data, if you opted in, is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Correspondence containing anything sensitive moves through encrypted, BAA-covered channels. Access to submissions is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.
Changes to this policy
If we change what this site collects or how, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. A different choice about cookies will always be asked for — never assumed.
